I tried to play a WAV music in my Powerpoint 2003 in WinXP, but a message
popped up: "all devices are currently in use, please wait when the device is
available, and then try again".

I saw from another forum that if "mplay32.exe" cannot play the music, it
won't play in Powerpoint, so I tried with mplay32.exe and it doesn't play
regarding to the same problem.
but it DOES play in my friend's laptop.
What should I do?
please help!

Carl

Quick solution, re-install the latest version of Windows Media Player.
(Works 95% of the time.)

Thank you Austin for your attention.

I've re-installed Windows Media Player 10, and it still doesn't work. Same
problem occurred.
I can play the WAV file in WMP 10, but I can't play it with
mplay32.exe(which is the classic windows media player), so I still can't play
it in PowerPoint.

Please help. Thank you all.
