Not enough details: What are the symptoms? Error messages? What are you
trying to play them with?

when I attempt to open these files using either Windows Media Player or Real
Player the song does not play. It appears to be playing but no sound comes
out. Also these players say that the songs are like 20 minutes long when it
should only be about 3 or 4 minutes long. Is the problem with my files?
Could they be corrupt or is it something with my computer or the settings?

It pays to read earleir newsgroup postings before writing your own, as
there are manyd ealing with this issue. First try the mute buttosn for
the players and for Windows sound. Then try the Windows Audio
troubleshooter that's built into Windows Help.

Incorrect timings are usually due to faulty compression. If you're
downloading off peer to peer networks you'll get a lot of junk.
