Ever since I installed XP I am having trouble with itunes & windows media
player - when I first sign in they will play music for about 2 minutes and
then the music becomes very choppy and finally it won't play at all! I push
play on WMP or itunes and the bar just sits there.... nothing happens!

this is making me crazy!

So ...... you installed XP. Good move.

On-board of sound card ?

Either way, did you also install XP sepcific drivers for your sound card ?
If not then I suggest that you do that. Do NOT rely on those that came with
XP, download updated ones from the card manufacturer's website. Re-post if
you stil have a problem.
