I want to be able to copy the text of an email composed on Outlook 2007 and
paste it into a Wordperfect 11 document. But when I try to paste it, I get
an error message: "Input file is not in the format specified."

The problem appears to be with Outlook 2007, and not with Wordpefect 11,
since I was able to past the text of this post into a Wordperfect document.

Does anyone know how I solve this problem.

Try pasting into a Notepad document first....
It's possible there IS some problem with WordPerfect - I just pasted text
from an Outlook 2007 email into Open Office without problems...

I succeeded in pasting e-mail text into both notepad and word pad. By the
way, the problem doesn't occur all the time. There are times when I am able
to paste e-mail text into the Wordperfect document. I would say the problem
arises only about half of the time.

There is probably something in the text/formatting that WP can't convert.
Paste into notepad, copy and then paste it into WP - this will clear all
formatting.

if this is something you do often, get puretext - it’s a lot easier (and
free).

The older versions have a problem with the format. You have several choices.
See the faq page from Corel:
