trying to open a word or excel doc from a website, it can't be open either in
IE or by MS Word. All I got is another IE screen popup with a blank page. I
have turn off all popup blocker. I have another PC having same security
setting in IE could open all doc without any problem. Help!! thanks

PS. I could open them in firefox.

running Windows XP SP2, IE 6 SP2

Hi,

Did you check the file associations for DOC and XLS in Windows Explorer,
Tools, Folder Options, File Types? Also, it might help if you check the [x]
Confirm open after download part.

Kind regards

Yes, I did check them. They are associated to the correct program. I have
compare them with another PC that is working fine. Thanks
