When i open a word 2007 document directly, that is, without opening the word
program first, there's always an error message that says "can't open (name of
file)". when word program opens and i click exactly the same file to open it,
it's only then that it opens. how can i do away with this error--it's quite
inconvenient.

Where are you opening it from when you get this error message? Connie
