You must restore it on the correct architecture, if you created a backup on
Vista 64 bit, you restore it on Vista 64 bit. Its possible your backup has
somehow become corrupted or you are not using the right approach to restore
your data. Is this just a backup of files or a complete PC backup? You have
to use the Advanced Restore link located in 'Backup and Restore Center' >
under 'Restore files and folders from a backup.
