I'm running Outlook 2000 SR1 on Win XP

I've just started writing some code to save messages to the file
system and had it all working nicely, but now when I closed and re
opened Outlook, I cant get to the VB editor. I go Tools-macros-visual
basic editor, and the hour glass comes up and nothing more happens.

one of the modules I added was a class module I copied from MS Access
for listing folders and files from the file system

Is this a common problem? and is there any way to recover my vb code I
have written?

Have you exported the modules of your project? If so, you could delete or
rename the *.otm project file. Then Outlook should start, and you can import
the modules step by step again.
