can't open up certain games

I try to open certain online games like yahoo chess and I can't open them
there is a red X in the top left corner and I don't know how to fix it. Also
for some reason my printer settings are set on 4" x 6" index cards when i
print on IE so when I print things come out a little small HELP ME PLEASE!
