i have been trying to open a site with front page to edit it. when i type the
site in a box appears that says "cannot open site because there may be a
password, the site may be unavailable, or it may contain a / or\." The site
requires a password but it does not let me get that far. It would be
appreciated if anyone knows what I could do to make this work. Thank you...

When you try to connect (File > Open Site) you can type in the full URL to
the site eg http://www.yoursite.com
but without the trailing '/' character. Otherwise open the site locally
(from a folder on your HDD).

If opening live, then it should then attempt to connect and prompt you for
your log on details.

Note, this will only work if your server has the Frontpage server extensions
installed and functioning correctly.

The folder "http://Website" isn't accessible. The folder may be located on
an unavailable volume or protected with a password.

Alternatively, you may wish to download the FREE Jimco Open Web which
