Can't open shell

During the access of a program or attempting to open a
file, I receive message "Unable to access shell". This
started after upgrading memory from 128 to 256. Also, error
code 10300. Help

Never seen this error, but a couple of steps should help you track it down
....

1. Remove the RAM. Does it happen with the new stick out of the system.
If it does not occur, then buy a new stick of RAM. Make certain you get the
correct type for your system.
2. If the problem still occurs when the new stick is removed, please test
in Safe Mode. This will let us know if it is an application getting in the
way of the shell.
