How did you move the site from the old computer to the new computer?

I did move my sites to a new computer a couple of weeks ago and reinstalled Frontpage 2002 with all of the current updates. Used it succesfully with no problem after that. Nothing new in Frontpage or my website pages since then. Not other problems that I've found in other MS programs or any other programs...only Frontpage. I installed Frontpage on the new computer, then moved all of my data files to the new computer as well.
One other problem found tonight. When opening web pages in IE6SP1, I seem to be getting an occasional 'debug' error that points to a java line. I don't have enough expertise to know if there is any relation to the Frontpage fault. <?> -Steve "Thomas A. You need to publish them either from the old machine or from the live site the new machine in order
to maintain the web structure. -- ============================================== Thomas A. Can you help me understand why I can't use the same data folders with the new copy of FP? Is there something behind the scenes going on that isn't obvious?
I can't pull down from the live site as it is an ftp site and FP doesn't seem to support that. I did try publishing the site from the old directory, but trying to use the files in the new folder causes the same fault. "Thomas A. I've been trying to follow his advice, but as I wrote, my hosting server is an ftp server and does not allow me to attach to it via http, so I can't publish from the live site. I DID, however, use WS-FTP to download the site to my computer...but lost the navigation & shared borders. As soon as I attempted to add a shared border back in to these pages, I got the same "Frontpage has encountered a problem and needs to close' message.
I'm really stuck. I need to update our .org site and am off the air until I can find a fix to this! -sd "Thomas A. When you download the site via FTP to your computer, what folder did you place it in?
The problem with publishing to a server that doesn't have the FP extensions, is that if you ever loose your local copy and have download a copy via FTP back to your machine, is that you will have reapply any themes, recreate your navigation structure/links and shared borders. -- ============================================== Thomas A. Nothing special...just a standard folder. I then did a 'convert to web' on the folder. Unfortunately, when I then attempted to add a shared border, I got the same 'needs to close' error. Thoughts?
