I burned my Powerpoint presentation from a file in my
hard drive into a CD (with third party software to burn
the CD). The presentation (from the CD) opens in my
computer but it will not open in another computer (the
file is shown and we copied it to the desktop of the
other computer but it will no open it). There is a
message saying that the file is unavailable. Any
suggestions?

Can you give us the full message? What files did you burn to the CD? Are
you linking from within the presentation to another presentation? It
sounds like you may have an early link that calls for a file that is not on
the CD.

>I believe you ahve to use the "pack-and-go" feature. You

cannot simply burn the file to a CD.

There are a number of third party products that you can use or you can do it
manually. Pack and Go is not required.

I made the powerpoint presentation "from scratch" (meaning no external pictures, figs, etc.) and saved as a powerpoint presentation under "presentations"/my documents (hard drive). Then I burned the CD using "Easy CD creator". The CD opens on my computer but not in the laptop computer that was attached to the LCD projectyor for presentation.
Thanks, Robert

Did you make a "multi-session" CD? If the CD doesn't even open, it might
mean that it was created in a format that the laptop cannot open. Can you
test it on a couple more systems?
