I keep getting an error message when I try to open Performance in
Administrative Tools which reads: Microsoft Management Control has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for any inconvience.
If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on
might be lost. For more information about this error, click here.
When I click on the area I get this error signature: AppName: mmc.exe
AppVer: 5.1.2600.2180 ModName: ntdll.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset:
00011e58
Event ID: 1000 Type: Error Source: Application Error.
Now all of this means absolutely nothing to me. How do I correct this error.
Somebody PLEASE HELP!!!!

Go to Start>Search>Select All files and Folders and type: *.msc in
the All or Part of file Box. See if Perfmon.msc shows
up and if yes click on it and see if it opens.
