I recently upgraded a service pack and now my pages don't
open fully. I am on ver 6.02800.1106 on windows 98, 128
bit, Updates SP1; Q818529; Q330994; Q313829; Q822925;
Q828750; Q824145. I have read about a problem with my
version relating but because of the problem I am having,
when I click the download button for the KB831167
replacement for Q831167.exe, it never opens. I am a home
user with moderate computer knowledge. I saw an article
about changing registry items but since I am not sure what
I am doing or if this is even the right fix for my
problem. Please help. Can the file be emailed to me?

I am having the same problem with a couple of sites. For
Example, when I try to get to ESPN, it seems to hang but
finally goes through. I downloaded NETSCAPE and it seems
to work Fine. I have the same version as the person
below and KB831167 did not help. I have checked all my
settings and they seem fine. I have a Dell 8300 and am
on Windows XP. What do you folks suggest I do next

This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware, parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
