Each time I try to open outlook 2003 I get the error message
Unable to open your default email folders THe file c:documents and
settings\jtortor\local settings\application
data\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst is not a personal folders file

Please help me :-(

Make sure that the file does not have the read-only attribute set.

Also run scanpst against the file (Start -> Programs -> Microsoft Office
-> Microsoft Office Tools -> Inbox Repair Tool).

Make sure the file is not set read only (left-click, scroll to properties).
If that is not the case, run the repair tool against it - scanpst.exe. You
may have to run the repair tool repeatedly, until it finds no errors. Make
sure you do this while Outlook is closed (and not running in the processes,
use your Task Manager to double-check).
