I encounter problems opening new browser windows in two separate instances.
Can anyone help?

The first:
I click on a link that is supposed to open in a new window OR right click on
a link and select "Open in New Window" and when the new window opens, it is
blank and stays blank. The icon in the top right corner is spinning, but
still nothing else happens. The only way I can get a page like this to work
is if I click "stop" then "refresh". After that, the page comes up right
away. Anyone know why this happens and how I can get around this?

The second:
This one is more debilitating than the first. If I am on a website (such as
this one) where in interacting with the computer a new window opens, the
window opens and stays blank. Unlike the other instances, this window has no
buttons and I am unable to "stop" and "refresh" it. When I wanted to post
this message from my computer, I could not get any further than clicking
"new" to start a new posting. In order to post, you have to be able to write
the text in this new window. I do not (that I am aware of) have a pop-up
blocker, nor is a firewall keeping me from opening these windows (again, that
I know of). Also, I already made suer I had the latest Java Virtual Machine.

As a result of this, I unable to interact with many websites (chatrooms
especially). To post this message on this site, I had to go use a computer
at the public library.

Anyone know how to solve these? The first problem is more of an annoyance,
but the second is crippling. Thanks for your input!

Hi. As a workaround, try the Escape key to stop loading, then Ctrl-r to
refresh

But, one of the experts here might be able to tell you how to actually solve
the underlying problem. HTH.

I have the same problem! It's so annoying. I hope somebody here gives a
solution soon because I'm tempting to reinstall Internet Explorer.

Halleluiah!!!!!! I FINALLY found people with my same problem. I contacted
Dell with this issue (twice) and was instructed to install a different search
engine other then IE such as Opera, etc... That's not acceptable to me.
There should be a fix here. They said that Spys had wrecked my Internet
Explorer. Can ANYONE help?????
