My Outlook 2003 (XP home edition) works fine.
When I archive my email, Outlook creats a archive.pst file, but it doesn't
let me view it (states that I have no permission to open the file).
I never assigned any password to my Personal Folders in Outlook.
I couldn't assign password to my Personal folders since I don't have the
current one (never assigned)
Can you please help me to make my archive work properly?
Thanks Peretz

You can only open a pst file in Outlook itself, not outside of Outlook. Use
the File, Open command on the menu while you are in Folder View. The archive
file will appear at the bottom of the list of folders.

Thanks Mary
I did exactly as you advised. I am getting empty screen (no messages) with a
message: "There are no items to show in this view"
On the other side, the size of the archive.pst looks right.

In Outlook I select File / Open / Outlook Data File...
and then I select the newly created archive.pst.
Outlook then adds a new folder: Archive Folders in which I have all the
relevant sub folders (Inbox, Sent, etc.) but they all look empty.

Was anything removed from the original PST when you did the original archive
operation? The archive PST could, in fact, be empty, since archiving
operates on the modified dates of items, not on the received or created
dates.
