Can't open .msg files with Outlook

I save my emails into my word processing folders as .msg files. If I clicked
"open" in Windows Explorer, these email files automatically opened with
Outlook. Or if I was in WordPerfect, I clicked "open with" and selected
Outlook. Now, all of a sudden, when I do either of these things, I either
get Microsoft Exchange EXE automatically, or it is the only reasonable choice
in the "open with" dialogue box -- Outlook doesn't even appear as a choice.
In fact I went into my programs folder and Outlook didn't appear there either
(only Outlook Express). I really don't like the MS Exchange format. Have
can I get back to using Outlook? (Yes, Outlook is on my computer and working
fine to receive and send email.) Thanks.

Outlook.exe is a file stored in the map \program files\microsoft office
\ maybe in the sub folder \office\. Maybe you can find it there.
It looks like your msg file isn't connected to outlook, check the
options for file associations in Windows Explorer. Search in the big
list for msg file.
Another solution may be
- right click on msg file
- you get the list which doesn't contain Outlook
- you choose to bottem option and search for Outlook. Maybe you can
select the option 'allways use this program for this file type'.
