Hi,

I emailed a MS-Word file to someone when he told me he couldn't open
it?!

I did some testing by trying to email myself some MS-Word I have. To
my suprise, I couldn't open it either. What happens, once I select
Open or Save the file, it keeps trying for long before I shut it off!

What could be the problem? I tried to do same with Excel file but NO
problem!

Could it be trying to load an associated document template that's located on
either a server that's not available or that's especially slow? When you try
opening the file, look at the status bar to see if there's a message about
its trying to access the template file. If so, you should be able to
intervene by pressing Escape.
