I use Windows Vista with Office 2007 and have successfully received daily
emails (HTML) of a newsletter. It worked fine previously. Today I get a
message "Cannot open this item". When I right click and OPEN - it returns
"The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem
persists, restart Outlook." That and rebooting does nothing. My usually
helpful ISP has never seen this issue. I can't forward the message, either.
I saw similar posts regarding Sharpoint and servers, but I don't use any of
those. I also have two opther emails from individuals that I can't open
(same error). One has photos attached and I can open those on my sync'd
Blackberry. With other messeages I can open xls and doc attachments, so I
don't think it is an issue with those.
In a phone tech support conversation with Adobe, yesterday, they advised me
to backup the registry and use Regedit to delete the Charset. That was to
get an XP version of Elements Premiere to run in Vista. That is the only
change in the system. Would that effect a few email. Thanks for any advice.
