When I tried to open Internet Explorer this AM, it would not open. A box
came up that said "This program has performed an illegal operation and will
be closed" When I click on details, it says

EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in
module SHELL32.DLL at 0167:66801af2.

When I click to close the info box it says "An error has occured in Internet
Explorer, Internet Explorer will now close. If you continue to experience
problems, please restart your computer".

Tried restarting, powering off, etc, no change. Tried running repair under
add/remove programs, no change.
Surprisingly, Outlook Express seems to work fine, and all else seems ok,
too. I do not have any other web browsers installed on this computer. I did
try running Ad-aware, Spybot Search and Destroy.

Any help/info appreciated, Todd Mcd

!!!!! This problem has been occuring for at least an hour or two. I tried to
open IE preoperties just before sending this, so I could state the proper
version, and now it's working properly. I guess I'm ok now, but wonder why
it happened in the first place!?
