Can't open Excel 2007

I've just got the Microsoft Office Suite as a download from Microsoft and
Word and Powerpoint are working but I just get an error message: "This update
paskage could not be opened. Verify that the update package exists and that
you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a
valid Windows Installer update package."
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Contact Microsoft, just like the message says.
