Hi you all,
I have a Toshiba M45 serie, and my DVD-CD ROM Device is a Matshita DVD-RAM.
One day I tried to play a CD and it didn't work. I don't remember if I did
something that could cause this malfunction, and the only thing I get is this
message, that I don't understand 'cause I'm an amateur in computers:
"the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error".
I have updated everything I could, and I did uninstall and reinstall the
device, but I still have the problem.
Can anyone tell me what an I/O error is and how do I fix it?
Thank you all,

Hi

Looks like the drive is faulty you could try and clean the lense of the DVD
Drive by using a proper head cleaner you can get them to clean audio cd's no
problem, If that doesnt work then i would look about getting the drive
replaced either by warrenty, or a good local PC repair shop ****NOT PC
WORLD**** some times the prices are a little too much
