Ok, the big blank area of the message really needs some words.

Like, y'know, what version of outlook. What the full text of the error is.
What kind of attachment you're trying to open. How long you've had the
problem. What might have changed when it started.

Y'know, stuff that would help in giving you an answer.

Otherwise, I'm going to say 'Save the attachment to the desktop and try to
open it there. if it fails there too, figure out what it should be
associated with and re-associate it with that program.'
