Please can someone help me!!!!!!

I erased an installed program named `Commonname`, and ever
since then i`ve been having problems. windows starts off
fine but whenever i try to open ANYTHING the comp says
`unable to locate resource directory, re-install program`
Can someone please explain to me what this means.

Sounds like a virus infection. If you cannot scan your PC
for viruses because of your current problem then you will
have to install your disk as a slave disk in some other
Win2000 PC and scan it there.
