I just want to print addresses on envelopes. When I try to insert address it
tells me to log into microsoft exchange to open address book. That doesn't
work. There has to be a way to open windows vista mail address book in word
2007.

No, there isn't.
The two programs were not made to be compatible.
Perhaps you can export the Vista contacts into a CSV file, and
use that file in Excel or Word mail merge.

Unfortunately Office apps can not work with "Contacts".
You might export the contacts in the CSV-format and import the resulting
file in either Excel or Outlook.
