I have Windows Vista Business conntected to my network at work. I am unable
to get an IP other than 169.XXX..... I have tried installing vista on two
seperate PC's which use different network adapters and the problem persists.
I should mention that XP works fine on the network and if I connect my vista
PC to a cable modem it works fine.
I have been reading allot of posts on different sites and I am seeing that
this may have to do with the routers on my backbone and the way that the
Vista TCP/IP talks to the routers. If anyi one else has had this problem I
would be interested to here if you found a solution. I can't imagine I would
have to change my network backbone for vista to connect.
