Can't move the Flag column?

I want it at the beginning?

Funny since all the other small columns are at the beginning...

Thanks,

Schneider

I have this very same issue Schneider.

It worked in Outlook 2003 but it won't in 2007.

I was in another thread on this same subject but lost track of it. All the
suggestions that we had received did not work. The flag column is grayed out
so it looks like it's immovable. Why I have no idea. It's hard to believe
that someone doesn't have a concrete answer to this "problem" which I
consider this to be because I can't see the flag status on the far right. I
want it on the left where I can see it!!

PLEASE. Anyone out there have an answer?

In another thread about this problem, Brian Tillman said to click on the
heading to open dialog box and "remove column," then put pointer to where you
want to see the flag on the header, open Field Chooser, and drag Flag Status
flag to header. I have done this, and it is in the right place now on the
header screen - over to the left, and I can see previously flagged emails
showing a red flag, but I can't click on that column to initially flag an
email not previously flagged. I need help with this issue, too.

I am in the same boat. I have Outlook 2003, and I was able to move the flag
field from the right to the left.

Previous to moving this field, there was a flag outline in each line next to
each email. I could click this area, and a red flag would show up. Now that
I have moved the field, this ability has vanished.

I can still right click and then choose a flag, but I miss having this
feature, so I can single click and have a red flag come up. Has anyone
discovered or created a way to restore this ability?

Thanks all for your help.

Here's everything I know about this problem, which isn't much.

With Outlook 2003 (and presumably 2007) the default "Flag Status" field is
the one that appears to the far right and has a dropdown behavior. Flag
Status can not be moved in the view, at least not by any method I've tried.
It can be removed from the view altogether by using View | Arrange By |
Current View | Customize Current View and clicking the Fields button.

After the Flag Status field has been removed, it appears in the Fields list
and therefore can be restored to the view. The good news is that the Flag
Status field can then be moved in the view as desired, including to the far
left. The bad news is that it is not the Flag Status field with the new
dropdown behavior - it reverts to being the Flag Status field that was in
Outlook 2002 and earlier.

I have not been able to discover a way to restore the new version of the
Flag Status field once it has been removed. Does anyone know? Is it even
possible?

I am astounded that what appears to be a bug is the same in 2007 as it was
in 2003. Perhaps Microsoft could explain whether this behavior is by design
and, if so, what the point of the design is.

Go back to the Customize Current View dialog and click the reset view
button.

If you want Microsoft to explain something, you might be better off calling
support and asking as they don't really monitor the newsgroups on a post by
post basis.
