Can't move e-mails when misfilled.

I will recieve a email. I drop & drag it to a folder within my pst file. I
miss and put it in the wrong folder. I go to that folder & try and move the
email to the correct folder.

IT WILL NOT MOVE.

I can read it, delete it, i can forward it, I can reply to it -- I just can
not get the email to "move", "cut & paste", nor "undo the move".

The only way "work around" I have for this problem is to forward the item to
myself, file it correctly, and delete the misfilled item.

Any suggestions?

You've described what doesn't happen. Please describe exactly what DOES
happen when you try.

When I click and highlight the mail and drop & drag it to the new folder,
nothing happends. No error message is generated, it just does not move. I
can forward it to myself and the new copy (in INBOX) will go to the folder I
want and most times will move again and again. But the first one just sits
there until deleted.

Does the item highlight when you select it? Does the cursor icon change
while dragging? Have you tried selecting it and then clicking Edit>Move (or
Copy) to Folder? Have you tried a new mail profile? Have you tried
Help>Detect and Repair?

Does the item highlight when you select it? Yes

Does the cursor icon change while dragging? Yes, I get the small box along
with the arrow - like i normally would get.

Have you tried selecting it and then clicking Edit>Move (or Copy) to Folder?
Yes, same nondiscript result. Message does not move. No error message.

Have you tried a new mail profile? Not yet

Have you tried Help>Detect and Repair? yes.

Have you tried a new mail profile? Yes. That seemed to eliminate the
problem. Time will tell.

The New profile did fix the prolem. Even thought it took a bit of work to
set it all up. I have not deleted the old one, but made the new one defualt.
Am going to test it for a couple days.
