When in an email window, I can type, I can select text with the keyboard, but
if I try to place my mouse somewhere to move the cursor, it doesn't register.
I will let me move the mouse from the address to: and cc: and subject: lines
to the message body pane, but once in the message body I can't select text
with the mouse or move the cusor with the mouse within the message body.

HELP!

This is driving me crazy!

This only happens in a new message window? It doesn't happen in the general
Outlook window? What if you exit Outlook and go to Start - Run and run
'outlook /safe' and try to reproduce the problem?

Thanks for responding. I did not know about safe mode, that is nice to know
about.


The problem does not occur in safe mode, do you know what this means?

Okay, after switching to safe mode it now works fine back in normal mode.
While I am very happy I would love to understand why!!! =)

So would I =)

Not that I think I'd be able to read the source code if it was available to
me, but, y'know. =)

Generally, when it works in safe mode, you're looking at a plug-in causing
the problems. Without knowing the version of outlook, it would vary on how
to get to the list of plug-ins to start disabling them until you find the
one causing problems.
