Using FP 2003 XPPro SP2 I have a table 3 cols. 18 rows lots of text inside,
I am trying to make the table narrower but I cannot adjust that particular
table - the text will not wrap (squash in) any more into the cells. I have
tried unchecking width settings but no difference. Would appreciate some
help.
TIA John

Table / cell sizes are minimums and will expand to fit unwrappable content
In your case the use of <pre> tags is forcing the width

<pre><font face="Trebuchet MS"><span style="font-size:10.0pt">For full details <a
href="Website%20info%20for%20Otago%20Area%202005.rtf">click here</a> to view Otago Area&#39;s Calendar (contacts only - calendar out
of date)
Area Meetings held 1st Thursday each month </span><span style="font-size: 10.0pt">St. Margaret&#39;s Church, Main Road, Green
Island</span></font></pre>

PS
You have a doc type tag after your <BODY...> tag
- belongs before the <HTML> tag

Sorry John, but I can't look at your page because of the annoyingly moving
text. That's very amateurish!
Also, why don't you get rid of the 'default blue' borders around the images
on the photo pages. that page is very slow to load because there are too
many thumbnails.
ETC

Thanks for your reply ETC but if you knew anything about knitting machines
you would understand why I put one marquee line in to simulate the
movement....I don't understand why you say you can't look at it. Yes there
are a lot of thumbnails on the photo pages (but I didn't refer to that page
link) - that's what they wanted - it's just a hobby group. I am trying to
improve the page which is the reason for my posting...
Thank you to Stefan for the answer.
John
