On the XP equiped computer, it shows my wireless device working properly (which is correct since I have Internet access on both computers) but it shows a red slash through my LAN. Any other suggestions?

Without knowing more about your network setup, it's hard to say what's
wrong. Please give more information:
How is your network wired? What type of Internet connection do you
have, and how does it connect to each computer? What did you say when
the Wizard asked how your computers connect to the Internet? Which
computer appears in My Network Places, and which one doesn't?
