Oh please I'm hoping someone has a simple solution to my
problem.

The problem itself came easily. In hopes of completing
the small network i made for a friend at her house, I
changed her renamed (and only user)administrator account
from domain, which see now was configured to work only
under that domain, to the workgroup that the Router/Switch
is configured to use.

After restarting the computer as instructed, when I try to
logon using the renamed adminstrator account I receive
this error.

"The system could not log you on. Make sure your User
name and domain are correct, then type your password
again. Letters in passwords must be typed using correct
case. Make sure Caps Lock is not accidentally on."

I need to be able to logon on to her computer again. She
works from home, connecting to her business through what
appears to be a domain, since now I can't login.

What suggestions, ideas, or solutions do you have?

thank you for your time and help.
-Tommy

There is indeed a simple solution even though you may not
like it: She has to ask her network administrator to re-register
her machine on the office domain controller.

Your suggestion is equivalent to buying a new car when
you run out of petrol.
