I am on XP SP2 and I cannot login as any user that I have set up. I get to
the login screen, put in my pasword and get a window called User Environment
and inside is the message " Windows cannot load the locally stored profile
Possible causes include insufficient security rights or a corrupt local
profile. Contact your network administrator."
If I let it timeout it gives another message:
"Windows cannot create a temporary profile directory"
Then it gives me a message that it logged me on with a default profile and
then I get a Windows Corrupt File window:
"The file or directory "c:\windows\system32\config\system.LOG is corrupt and
unreadable. Please run chkdsk utility.
I can boot in safe mode with networking and it automatically runs the chksk
utility but I'm still having the same problem. Help!
recent changes were that I added an ATI 9250 card for my son to play
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 about 3 days ago.
