can't log in with password

My computer had been connected to a university network,
when I changed a setting to a "home network' I was unable
to log on with my username and password, or as an
administrator. The domain option is no longer available on
the log in screen. I have already tried password recovery
options listed on this page, any other ideas? I am
basically locked out of my computer.
