When I try to log onto MSN Messenger I get the following message:

We were unable to sign you in to .NET Messenger Service, possibly because of
a problem with the service or with your Internet connection. Please make
sure that you are connected to the Internet. 0x80004005

Please note that :
- only one of two hotmail accounts has this problem
- the other account connects properly on the same PC, so I'm sure there are
no connection or firewall issues.
- The account with the problem is active (as the mail account works) and the
password is correct

Can it be something wrong with the .NET servers?

Anyone has a suggestion?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Vittorio

Greetings,

The error you're seeing is a server-based error, meaning, there's nothing you can do on your
side to fix it.

You'll have to contact Messenger services in order to have it corrected and explained:
