I purchased a new Western Digital drive to replace my old one
I ran the WD "Data Life Guard" set up and drive copy application to transfer my data and OS to the new drive
The copy program crashed, stating the data copy failed
I tried to restart the program but, it told me to reboot first
After rebooting I couldn't login
I removed the new drive and set everything up the way it was but, WinXP won't let me log in
It plays the windows start music then, says logging off... plays the exit music and returns to the log in screen
Why would the source drive data or Windows get corrupted during a copy process
Am I not supposed to copy XP to a new drive
How do I get back into Windows?

XP doesnt copy very well..
That utility in most cases wont work in xp.Try booting to xp cd,repair
press enter for password,type:CHKDSK C: /
Then type:EXIT when thru.To copy xp use XCOPY in xp,or a 3rd party utility.
