When I click on some of the icons on my desktop I get the message "Can't
load library from memory". If I click OK then it will load. What could be
causing this?

Thanks,
Gordon

It sounds like you might be running out of hard disk space. Clear the
trash can, clear all of your cookies, and clear your web history. If
this doesn't fix it, I've heard that installing the latest version of
Ad-Aware will resolve this issue (I have not verified that this is
true, but it's worth a try - I found that somebody blamed this on
spyware: http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums/thread64064.html)

Good luck

I got the same messages yesterday, "can't load library from memory",
and found the same suggested fix of loading up ad-aware. I loaded up
ad-aware, ran a scan which cought some stuff but when I clicked on win
explorer I still got the same message. I cleared out the cookies and
the web history yesterday but that did not make a difference. I am
running Symantec anti-virus that kicksoff at 8 pm and it has not
picked up anything. When I get a chance I am going to boot up in safe
mode and give it another shot.

If you have a file called ipv6mons.dll, delete it. Others found at the
following location, but yours may be different: C:\WINDOWS
\system32\ipv6mons.dll

Run a search for ipv6mons.dll and if you have it delete it. This
should fix your problems.

I have XP - SP2 - this has just started happening since the latest download
frrom MicroSoft - I did the search - and found several files with this name
in the System folder - renamed - either old - old1 - old2 - did a reboot and
problem is resolved.

I finally got the chance this morning but what I found was renaming
the C:\windows\system32\ipv6monl.dll file did the trick.

Thanks for the help!
