If you haven't...try HP All in One. It worked on my Home XP. Also..i had
a crash and later an install problem and microsoft guided me through 2
installs that worked...NOT Clean install...but boot from WindowsCD
don't click repair install (do not type "R")
but press enter on the setup..or additional tasks..and the install upgrade and after
you see the place where you agree to terms...and..type in your key log code, and it searches your
type (XP) THEN you select Repair...then follow the show...ignore any warnings,
and when it asks for another cd (some application) then you put that in. then
put the xp back in and it finishes...I never lost a file or setting. You may have had
some damaged or missing files from your crash. It is recommended to uninstall
Norton (Symantec) before....and reinstall after...and you have to re visit windows updates and download all 16 critical ones, as you are starting from scratch..after
an install upgrade.
