I am running windows 98 and I just upgraded to IE6 and all
was working well until two days ago. Now I can't go to
any web site at all. I get a cannot find server or DNS
problem statement when I type in any address. My outlook
email account works well and I can log onto to my ISP, i
just can;t get to any pages. I think my wife may have
done soemthing but I can't figure it out. I have tried
going into my properties and matching it to my other
computer but it doesn't work. I have checked everything I
can think of but it doesn't work. I even tried to remove
ie6 from my control panel but it only has an option to
reinstall or repair. When I try to repair, it doesn't
work because it says my tdc.ocx file is not up to date.

Any suggestions?

I am having the same problem.
I can ping all local network ips and access all network drives etc...
recieve and send email with no problem, but cannot access web through IE
version 6 sp1.

No connection settings have been changed.
after trying to run repair, I get an error stating that:
IE 6 cannot be repaired due to the following error.
version 4.0.0.2926 of file DISPEX.DLL exists, but the version needs to be
greater than 5.1.0.4615
version 4.0.0.2926 of file SCRRUN.DLL exists, but the version needs to be
greater than 5.1.0.5010

Any thoughts?

First, remove any malware.

You might want to refresh your scripting engine:
