Can't join Domain

I've installed my MS Partner XP Media Center edition.

I want to join it to the domain on the network now. Unfortunately the
'Network ID' button in the Control Panel|System is grayed out. The computer
can see the network OK, but I cannot find any way that I can join it to the
domain.

Am I missing something
