What Operating System are you using (Windows 2000, XP Home or Professional,
Vista)? Had you ever installed Windows Defender (before now) on your system?
What is on F (a hard drive, optical disk)? Is there any error message
"number" associated with the invalid unit message?

Can you create an F drive, either via a network share, or using the SUBST
command? This may work around the problem.

Hi GMAX,

If you put this line in you registry the problem with your CAPSLOCK is
over, it is disabled than!

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout]
"Scancode
Map"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,02,00,00,00,00,00,3a,00,00,00,00,00

If you copy and past these 2 lines in to Notepad and save it as
Capslock_off.reg and then doubleclick on it, then it is fixed.

This lines makes from the Caps Lock a Shift key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout]
"Scancode
Map"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,02,00,00,00,2a,00,3a,00,00,00,00,00

And this line eliminate above actions:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout]
"Scancode Map"=-

PS works fine for me

Hi Dave,

Works fine, special for those (like me) that put on the Caps lock by
accident and find that out after typing several lines! ;-)
