Some time ago, I had a replacement C: drive installed by a repair shop. They
reinstalled my Win XP Pro at that time.

Since then, there have been a number of issues with regard to installing or
removing apps - like Streets and Trips 2006 and itunes v6.0.1, for example.

Typically, the install begins and seems pretty normal, but eventually fails
offering only a meaningless error code. itunes installs properly, but then
during the Quicktime install (which is mandatory) it fails with an error '
-3'. Thanks.

I can't uninstall some apps from the C: drive either.

How can I take ownweship of the drive and its contents? My usual login
includeds admin priviledge and I do have access to an admin login - I just
don't know what to change.

Thanks.

Joe

Rich,

The system properties box shows the system having SP2. And . . that implies
reinstall since they did re=install XP from my disk.
