Folks,

I've tried to re-install the Palm Desktop (and Hotsync) apps on a
machine with the .NET 2.0 framework on it. I keep getting an "Interal
Error 2738", and Palm support keeps telling me my Windows script
engine or my Windows installer aren't up to date.

Anyone else seeing the same problem? Is this a Palm-specific issue
(I'm trying hard to get them to really check what I'm seeing - tough
nut to crack though!), or is this possibly a general issue with the
InstallShield installer?? Any comments??

Did you have a .NET 2.0 beta installed? If so, you may have to reformat
your system. I just finished with mine and had no problems reinstalling my
Palm Desktop. Also, make sure you are running Windows Installer 3.1, which
you can get from the Microsoft Download site.

Nope, this is my main machine, it was .NET 1.1 only, until .NET 2.0
came out in a final version.
