Can't install Netgear MA401

Asus L3800 notebook P4, 2 Ghz., 768 Mb., Windows XP Pro Sp1 with all
updates.

When I bought the Netgear MA401 PCMCIA, it installed without a glitch from
the cd.
I reïnstalled XP and can't get the MA401 to install after that.

I tried both the original cd and the latest driver from Netgear.
I read somewhere I should disable the Wireless Zero-service of XP.
I did this, didn't work.

Grateful fory any advice/tips, tia!
