Hi,

I am trying to run gpmc.msi on my machine and keep getting a message saying
that I need to install .Net framework. the exact message is:

"Please install the Microsoft .Net Framework before installing Microsoft
Group Policy Management Console with SP1"

I have .Net installed, have reinstalled it and just today downloaded .Net
2.0 and it installed fine, shows as installed in control panel.

Does anyone know how to get this installed or why this may be happening?

After more searching I found this thread:

Which said I needed .net 1.1 as opposed to .net 2.0 which was already
installed.
I downloaded .net 1.1 from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

I installed .net 1.1 right over .net 2.0 w/o any problem. After that
GPMC.msi installed without a hitch.
