I had a free AVG antivirus software, but all of a sudden I had trouble
updating it. So I wanted to delete the program and install it again.
This did not work, I searched for the components and deleted then one
by one, then after several attempts I finally could download the
AVG75free_503a1. (sometimes it showed "download completed" after only
3 %) . I tried to install it, but it never finished and I got the
following message: Local machine: installation failed
Installation:
Error: Action failed for file avgemc.exe: starting service....
Service AVGEMS failed to progress during startup at
checpoint 0 (wait hint 10000 ms) in 91011 ms.
I opened the download with " run as administrator".
I am using Windows vista home premium.
Also I got the idea, that maybe a virus is the problem and wanted to
do an online scan, I was not able to do so, I tried two websites.
I would need some help desperately, thanks. Frida
PS downloaded PC tools antivirus, it does not update.
