I have the same drive in Win XP home, so I don't think it is WinXP. This
drive does some weird things when you put in media it does not like. Does
it recognize it by the wrong name with no media in it or with media in it?
Have you double checked to make sure your master/slave/cable select settings
are correct? What do you mean by the drive won't work. It does not spin,
won't burn, etc.?
