Set up home network to access internet vai LAN. Now want to setup dialup connection to use while traveling. Wizards only allow LAN option. Modem option is grayed out.

On services, Remote Access Connection Managaer cannot be started... "access denied"

Any thoughts?

This is the usual cause:

You Cannot Create a Network Connection After You Restore Windows XP

Fix is to re-apply SP1.
